Mini-O Reunion

We are missing out on the Big O Family Reunion since we will be at Uncle Tyler's wedding so we decided to have a mini-o reunion with just my parents and Uncle Ben. We enjoy going to Pomme de Terre so much that my parents are considering buying a lake house there. Too bad it wasn't just a little closer!!

Zoe showed us again on this trip what a tough little girl she is. We were unloading at the cabins while the kids were playing on the deck. Grandpa O was head back up the hill from putting the boat in and Zoe went to go see him and didn't realize there were 3 stairs off the deck onto the gravel. She went head first, luckily missed her head on every single step, put her hands down so they hit first and did a front flip into the gravel before sliding a few feet. She literally cried for 5 seconds and was ready to go again. Not a single scratch or bump on her. I guess watching Grey's gymnastics class for the last year has paid off!

Grey was in heaven on the boat. He loved going fast, being pulled behind the boat, watching others being pulled behind the boat, swimming, jumping, and even just hanging out on the dock was pure happiness for him.

Zoe on the other hand was her typical self. She either LOVED it or LOATHED it and you could never tell which one it would be. She did enjoy swimming in the water but always wanted to "jump" in like everyone else. She would scream and cry one minute and then the next time would be giggling. You just never know with this silly girl!

 Throw me again, daddy! AGAIN!!
He loved it when people would let him jump over them. So cute!
Zoe really wanted to partake in my beverage. It was hot!
Trying out the e-z ski trainer from the docked boat the first evening. He was a natural. He loved yelling HIT IT!!

The girls: Quinn, Granny Jo, Me, & Zoe
First try out on the e-z ski
He was out there for at least 15 minutes being pulled behind the boat.
 Standing up!
Taking a break to cool off!
 Zoe wanted to try :)
Uncle Ben on the air chair. He forgot his wakeboard back at home!

Uncle Ben on the homemade wake skate
Grey loved watching him do tricks and fall down

Daddy on the wake skate. He realized that it wasn't quite like a surf board when he tried to go to one knee and skinned it up on the grip tape pretty bad!
 Granny Jo & Grandpa O
Ben showing Grey how to move your hand in the wind when the boat goes fast
Nicki and Chris came down to play, too!
Jumping off the dock at the Shaffer dock

Zoe finally warmed up to Grandpa O by the end of the trip!

She liked it this time out...
Grey again on the e-z ski. He could have done it all day long. He got some air on this ride :)

 Watching daddy
 Can't wait until next summer!!

Redondo Trip & Bryant Wedding

We headed down south for a friend of Zippy's wedding from when he was a little boy. Kevin's mom and Grammie are still great friends and we see them a few times a year. We were so excited to join them for their wedding in Orange!

Since we were going down there, we decided to go for an extra day and see the Deierling Family. We had so much fun, playing in the back yard, swimming, riding bikes, playing at the beach...

Grey thinking about boogie boarding...after being crashed by the first wave, he decided he would rather play on the beach :)

Party time! Let the wedding begin!

I think we sat down too early because Zoe needed to get up before the ceremony even began!
 Beautiful bride
Cake pops made by the lovely mother of the groom for place settings. The kids got goody bags full of toys and chicken nuggets for dinner. They even had someone making cotton candy there. Yum!
Uncle Ty winning the best brother in law of the year award for smuggling wine back to our table :) Grey looks like he could be his security guard ;)
Zoe with soon-to-be Auntie Rory wearing Auntie Zephy's necklace

We were out past 11 that night at the wedding and the kids were rock stars the whole time, dancing, playing, having a great time. When we went to leave, the valet went to get our car and it was dead. They had left the head lights on! Luckily, they were able to jump it and Matt drove us safely back to the hotel.
The kids were so ready to go the next day...
Zoe was so done she was trying to do somersaults in the restaurant at breakfast. Good thing we were the only ones there (it took us about 45 minutes to get our food!)
Zippy passed out for the ride back north
Sibling love. This always melts my heart when they hold hands :)
They had a photo booth so we had to take a picture of all the girls :)

And we can't forget the special guest appearance when we were at the Dieirling house! Paige happened to be in California (when is she not?). She drove all the way out to come spend a few hours playing with us! It was so much fun, our kids are basically the exact same age (just within weeks of each other) and we hadn't been together since we were pregnant with our second. Thanks, Paige, for coming to play!
Only Paige could manage getting a good picture of 4 kids 3 years and under...
Of course, the big group picture didn't go so well but it is still ADORABLE :)
