Miss you, Grandpa! Missouri Trip #1

Grey and I took a last minute trip back to Missouri because my Grandpa Kearney passed away. I am going to really miss him. When I was younger, my dad used to live next door to my grandpa and grandma. I spent many many hours being teased by this old man! I think every little kid in the neighborhood used to be scared of him when we were little because he like to play gruff but then you would catch him giggling as they ran off. As I got older, I loved to listen to him tell stories...and man, did he have stories to tell (with 12 kids you could only imagine!). I am glad that my kids were able to spend some time with him though not enough considering how far away we are.

Of course, the trip was for very sad reasons but at the same time, Grey and I were excited to go back and get to spend some time with family. Since we did not make any plans, Grey got to spend some one on one time with HIS grandpa, creating those memories that will last him a life time.

Best air travel partner ever :)
Grandpa's house where all 12 kids grew up
On our way to go fishing with Gigi
 Hey! I spotted a Gigi!
Grandma Georgi is always a great sport. Grey decorated her with stickers at dinner

Grey was in love with the dogs. He would curl up beside them and cover them in blankets. Goofy boy!
We went to OG for a quick visit to Granny Jo & Grandpa O's. We hadn't been since last summer but the second he got out of the car, he ran straight to the shop and within 5 minutes he had...
1,  Found the ear muffs..
 2. mowed the yard
 3. Took the 4 wheeler offroading
 4. Did some tractor work
But he had to wait to have permission to drive the convertible!
We met up with some of my favorite high schools friends and had a mini play date.
Uncle Ben and soon-to-be Auntie Quinn came by to play.
They bought fireworks and Grey was in little boy heaven. Smoke bombs!
Hmm...Uncle Ben seems to be running away leaving my 3 year old with a lighter and a firecracker. Remind me never to leave them alone ;)
Well, Grey had fun until a spark from the sparkler got his leg. Grandpa O to the rescue! (he is as dramatic as Grey is!)

Luckily, Uncle Ben also brought otter pops (it was 100+ degrees)
Showing off their pretty otter pop colored tongues!
Grandpa O actually playing a game! See, it does happen!!
We bought Grey a suitcase while we were back. He didn't want it out of his sight. Even when sleeping!
Headed home. I think Grey loves airplane rides just for the treats!
