Missouri 2013

My mom and Doyle finally decided to get a house on the lake so they didn't have to lug all their stuff back and forth every weekend! We headed there for the 4th of July to kick off this summer trip back to Missouri. They have put a lot of work into it and it is so much fun! The weather was perfect, we only had a little thunder but no rain or really hot weather. It was perfect.

Mom & I on the boat
Zoe was a big help when Grey was riding the ez ski!

Grey could ride the e-z ski all day long. We got a little rougher with him because he just kept wanting to go faster. We were going 17 at one and decided we shouldn't go any faster because it might hurt falling off at those speeds! Later we looked at the e-z ski and the max speed is suppose to be 10. Oops! We did get to spinning him around in circles at lower speeds and he finally wiped out, a good few barrel rolls off the side. Like usual, he popped up out of the water laughing!
Zoe is practicing for next year! We tried to get her on it this year but she told me she couldn't because she was a girl. My mom and I do not do any of the water sports, just the guys, so she assumed girls don't do them. Guess I will be out being pulled behind the boat next year!

Zoe definitely loved the boat much more this year!

 Shhh, sleeping little fish!
The big boys (Brandon and Ben) got to play too!

 Boat ornament in training!
When we were not hanging out on the boat, we spent a lot of time hanging out on the dock. Grey loved jumping into the water and some one found him a water squirter so he was in little boy heaven!

Zoe & Grandpa O were "catching fish" (aka throwing the line in the water with a fake fish attached) and she kept telling me that caught a fish "THIS BIG"!

Uncle Ben and Grey had lots of fun practicing all sorts of different jumps off the boat!

The next best part of the lake house besides the lake was the big screened in porch. We lived out there when we weren't on the water!

And I can't forget the fireworks, firepit, bathtime, books, games, and lightning bugs!

Auntie Quinn was protecting Zoe from the fireworks!

 The whole crew :)
Gorgeous view, can we go back now??!
Before we could even get tired of the Lake of Ozarks, we had to pack up and head to the second lake of the trip, Pomme de Terre, to meet up with our aunts and uncles and cousings for the Annual Big O Reunion. The little guys had a blast running around the campgrounds and having some freedom this year. Ashlyn and Grey had a blast jumping off the dock. The rest of us hung out in the water until we saw a big snake swim out from underneath it and we decided to leave the kids with Dan and head closer to shore!

 Just floatin'

Everyone-minus us- since we left early to head to my dad's!

We left Pomme de Terre and headed to my Gigi and Grandma Georgi's for a couple of days. It was great to see even more family, eats lots of yummy food, help out in their garden, find berries, and swim at the water park. Grey figured out here how he could really swim (because he could still touch and come up when he needed air). It was awesome to see him make this big leap in swimming! He has been a little fish ever since!

It was a fun trip, the kids were troopers, and we realized next year we need to go for a little longer because we didn't even get to do half of what we wanted to do or see half the people we would like to see.
